PLANETS Website – A Freshening
PLANETS (Planetary Learning that Advances the Nexus of Engineering, Technology, and Science) is an interdisciplinary and cross-institutional partnership between Northern Arizona University’s Center for Science Teaching & Learning, the Museum of Science Boston’s Engineering is Elementary, and the USGS Astrogeology Science Center to develop and disseminate out-of-school time curricular and educator resource modules that integrate planetary science, technology, and engineering.
tmsr Design Delivery was brought on board in 2019, the 4th year of the PLANETS 1.0 grant to assist in making the website component real in the face of administrative challenges encountered by the partners to-date.
Fast-forward to 2023.
In 2023, the Museum of Science offered to host the website, moving it to the Content Management System, Drupal in early 2024. We continued to be happily involved in many other graphic and design needs for PLANETS. But as 2024 wrapped up, tmsr Design Delivery was asked to bring the site back under the NAU purview and into their CMS of-choice, WordPress.
2024 – A WordPress CMS
We were able to do a bit of What if… while reconstituting the website to add just a little more playfulness into this K–12 Educator STEM Resource.
